Here And Gone!
Last week was super busy as we had my brother and his family in town for a visit, and we leave to Washington this morning for a week of camping. I had full intentions of sitting down this past weekend and scheduling posts for the week (once we cross to the states I have no internet or phone access, boo!) but I got lazy and sat outside with my family instead! Of course the time my brother was here was filled with rain, and the day they left the sun came out. Right now we are setting record high temperatures! Last night we checked the weather report for where we are headed and the highs are 106, which we are NOT used to at all. There is actually a heat warning recommending people to stay inside where its cool, so we actually talked last night about cancelling our trip. The first time we tried to use the air conditioning in the trailer the breaker at the RV park blew so we were concerned about that with the boys being so young, we don’t want them getting sick, especially when we are in the states – even though we do have full travel insurance I’d still be worried we’d get some sort of crazy bill! This morning we decided to move to a different park, one that has more of a kid friendly pool so at least we can spend the days cooling off in the water! So, I’m here for a quick post today and then I’ll be back at some point next week after enjoying the first week of holidays Jason has taken this year!
I’ll leave you with some pictures from the last week with my brother, sister-in-law and three nieces at a BBQ at my dads, the creepy owl that seems to be helping Oliver stay in his room and some outside time in our yard. If you follow me on instagram you’ve likely seen these all, so sorry for the repeats! Happy Canada Day to everyone, and Happy Fourth of July to all my American friends!
