I think it has been well over a week since I have posted, yikes!! There have been a few other blogs that I follow that have been saying that they haven’t been in the mood to post, or haven’t been able to think of a topic. I’m in the same boat! Some days/weeks its just so hard to think of things to say, that anybody may even remotely want to read! Usually I post about our day to day life, we are busy but most days its busy with the same things and that may get pretty boring for others to read so I just don’t post. And then I find if I slack on posting, its REALLY hard to get back into it! So, I’m going to have a couple posts this week and try to keep up with that. I’ve never really been a daily poster anyway! And, I’m going to try to post more recipes, well, at least one a week when I come up with something we really enjoy!
Jason was on holidays all last week and we ended up being fairly busy. We started off with a camping trip to one of our favorite sites over the border. We originally had plans with three other couples to join us, all overlapping different days. Turns out things didn’t work out for any of them, and they all had to cancel, so instead of staying until Wednesday we decided to come home on Monday. We, or Jason, had a lot of things needing to get done around the house and if we were hanging out around home we could dao some day trips to the beach and take some time to actually relax! If you follow Jason or myself on Instagram then I’m sure you saw the photos of the split rail fence Jason out up. This year instead of working on the gardens in the front yard, we decided to focus on the back and built a deck, thinking next year we will get the front planted and cleaned up a bit. Jason has wanted to do the split rail fence for awhile, but wasn’t sure if it would wait till next year or not. Coming home early from camping gave him time to get it done and it turned out way better than I expected. I love it, and am excited for next year to see what we can get the front yard to really look like! Jason worked in the basement, moving things forward on insulation and lighting and the boys and I played outside and at the park. We had a family beach day one day and pertty much had the whole beach to ourselves! I guess that’s what happens when you go on a Wednesday! We visited one day with Jason’s mom and brother, went mini golfing and out for a yummy lunch. Drove pretty much out to my moms place to go look at a “Christmas” store that didn’t have their Christmas stuff out yet, missed drinking mom’s homemade Sangria at the neighbors pool though! The boys and I went to one of their friends birthday parties that was complete with a bouncy castle, and then we ended the week yesterday with a nice family BBQ at my cousins farm. My cousin has two kids pretty close in age to our boys, and it was fun to watch Oliver play with them. Being out there I always enjoy myself. I love the big yard, all the open space, the quiet! Makes me wish that we lived out of town. One day, one day! And by that I mean, on an small acreage! Jason will never be a farmer!
Now for the pictures!!! And yeah, sorry for the repeats if you already follow me!
